Today is the day a new Femme Fatale collection is released! This new 8-pieces collection is inspired by the four Pellinor books, a fantasy series by Australian author Alison Croggon. The story mainly revolves about the character of adolescent girl Maerad, who was forced into slavery along with her mother as a child, after the sacking of the Bard school of Pellinor. The Fire Lily collection will be released for presale on 9am AEST May 1st (today) to May 5th (closing 9pm AEST); and will be back for several restocks in addition to being available at our stockists whom wish to carry the colors. Now let's see what these precious look like.
Winterking is a pearly white color with a turquoise shimmer, filled with black holographic and blue iridescent glitter. The formula is a bit sheer and it requires 3-4 coats for full opacity (it could be worn over a white/grey base color for a more opaque results) The finish is a bit rough because of the glitter so a glossy top coat is recommended.
Fates Bound Together is a blue (warm) to purple (cold) thermal with a pink shimmer and red iridescent flakies. It has a sain finish and the flakies can give it a textured finish so top coat and application in thin layers are recommended. It is opaque in 3 coats. This is on of my favorites from this collection.
Triple-Tongues is an antique gold with a hint of olive and copper. It is loaded with of holographic particles and tiny flakies. It is easily opaque in 2 coats and the formula is very smooth.
Nameless One is a dark blue jellish base with a reddish shimmer and filled with red metallic flakies and silver holographic glitters. The duochrome shimmer flashes from red to green. It is opaque in 3 coats and with a slightly rough finish because of the glitter.
Fire Lily is jam-packed full of red flakies and glitters into a slightly blue-tinted jelly base, rounded off with a bit of Unicorn Pee pigment that flashes from red to green. This one will be opaque in 4-5 coats, so with this one it would be better either to use the sponging method or to layer it over a darker opaque base color. It is loaded with glitter and flakies so top coat is a must.
The Mark of darkness is a deep royal blue-toned purple base with an intense duochrome red to green shimmer. It is quite opaque avec easy to apply. This is definitely my favorite from this collection.
Inner Dreaming is a brown (cold) to clear (warm) thermal with pink glow and pink/purple to green shifting iridescent flakes. Opaque in 3-4 coats, the free edge of your nails will be apparent in the warm stages. It has to be applied in thin coats and top coat is also a must considering all the flakies.
Treesong is a warm toned brown with a hint of red shift and an array of silver holographic particles, silver and gold holo glitters, green iridescent glitters, copper glitters, matte pastel pink glitters and much more. Easily opaque in 2 coats but te finish is rough due to all the glitter so a glossy topcoat is recommended.
